This weekend I visited Versailles
I understand why Marie Antoinette developed the taste for opulence and elegance. Living in a place like Versailles would make anyone crave only the most luxurious things in life. Her apathy towards the French peasants seemed inevitable.
ps. This is how I felt on Friday after walking up the Arc de Triompe and Eiffel Tower
